Chapter 550 Reference Answers
What is this guy saying?
Even though he had a vague idea of the answer, Sasuke couldn't help but whisper a word of resistance in his mind.
He had a strong urge to avoid facing reality, like an ostrich burying its head in the sand, trying to escape the absurd truth before him.
And so, the shame that had just begun to subside surged back up like a tidal wave.
That shame doesn't come from the concept of "wedding" itself.
He had no feelings about the wedding; it was just two people standing together being watched by others. What was there to care about?
What truly shamed him was that "I" and "that loser" could have such a relationship—this possibility was so nakedly and unmaskedly presented to him.
That's what he couldn't accept.
Because this touched upon the deepest emotions Sasuke dared not admit and was most unwilling to face.
He cares about Naruto.
Sasuke was already internally screaming.
Why did this happen? What's wrong with this world? He admitted that the underachiever had indeed come to his heart and he had indeed considered him a friend; he couldn't deny that.
But... even if the genders were reversed, things couldn't be this good, right?!
Sasuke abruptly closed his eyes, unable to bear looking at the happy smile on Satsuki's face.
He found that if he looked at it any longer, his legs would start to go weak with shame.
That smile was so real, so happy, so... dazzling.
However, he did not deny it loudly as usual, or yell "Shut up" or anything like that.
Because he remembered something else.
My parents, barring any unforeseen circumstances, have already been resurrected.
The thought of the future, of being able to live with her mother again and no longer being alone in terms of family—that the person she could show her vulnerable side to without reservation, Uchiha Mikoto, had truly returned.
And all of this is because of the Naruto from another world right in front of us.
If Sasuke were given a choice right now—to become a woman, but at the cost of his parents returning to his side—he wouldn't hesitate for a second.
Even if you add the condition of "marrying Naruto" after "becoming a woman".
He was willing; it was never a choice.
So, although Sasuke was very ashamed, he didn't react.
He chose to be angry rather than humiliated.
On the other side, after receiving the answer, Naruto slowly lowered his head, his little face filled with disappointment.
They fell in love at first sight, only to find out the other person was already married.
This feeling is really unpleasant.
To be honest, Naruto felt that apart from having some familiar features in appearance, Sasuke was nothing like him in terms of personality.
Because when Satsuki spoke to him, he could feel the genuine gentleness and kindness in her voice. Unlike Sasuke, who was always so awkward, pretending to be cold even when he cared deeply.
He didn't know that this was a talent he possessed as a member of the Uzumaki clan and a Jinchūriki—the ability to slightly sense the emotions of others.
Naruto turned his head and looked at Sasuke beside him.
So, will Sasuke develop this personality when he grows up?
Will she become this gentle? Will she treat herself this well?
Sasuke saw Naruto suddenly turn to look at him, his face bearing undisguised disappointment and a complex expression that Sasuke couldn't decipher.
He immediately misunderstood.
"Last place..."
Sasuke's voice turned cold, carrying a dangerous undertone. "If you dare look at me like that again, I'll make you regret it."
"...How rude."
Naruto immediately retorted, the disappointment on his face not yet completely gone, but already tinged with his habitual bickering.
"Not as good as Satsuki-neechan at all."
It's hard.
Sasuke's fist hardened.
He clenched his fists, but he took a deep breath and swallowed it back down.
I must not have an attack. I cannot have an attack. For my parents' sake.
He endured it.
"Alright, since Sister Zuoyue is married, there's nothing we can do about it."
Naruto scratched his head, trying to appear carefree, but his tone still betrayed his disappointment, and even the smile he managed to muster seemed forced.
"Hey, my other self! Be nicer to her, okay?"
Naruto looked at the kid in front of him who had just fallen in love with his wife at first sight, but was now giving him instructions, and for a moment he didn't know what to say.
Satsuki smiled and reached out to gently pat Naruto's head.
"Thank you so much." Her voice was gentle. "But don't worry, my Naruto is very good to me."
Naruto's face flushed uncontrollably again, the red spreading from his cheeks to his ears. He froze, until he felt a murderous gaze from behind.
Sasuke was staring at him coldly.
"Oh, right!" Naruto suddenly snapped out of his reverie and quickly changed the subject, turning to Sasuke and shouting, "Since you're not going to Orochimaru's place, Sasuke! Let's hurry back to Konoha! Seriously, we've kept everyone worried for so long; Kakashi-sensei and Sakura must be really anxious!"
Sasuke didn't respond immediately. After a moment of silence, he finally spoke.
"Wait a little longer."
Under Naruto's questioning gaze, he turned around and walked step by step towards Satsuki. When he reached Satsuki, he looked up.
"In your world, were your father and mother also resurrected later?" he asked.
"No." Zuo Yue shook her head. "That day, it was thanks to Naruto that they were saved from Itachi's clutches."
Sasuke fell silent, something trembling slightly in his eyes.
"Are you asking me if I killed Itachi?"
Zuo Yue saw through his thoughts and spoke up. "I didn't do that. Because for me, protecting the people I care about is far more important than revenge."
"However, I didn't kill Itachi because of my mother. She's too soft-hearted; even now, she still sees Itachi as her child."
